Our Traditions
ANNUAL EVENTS
Each year, Trail Life brings our community together through a series of special events that celebrate faith, fellowship, and adventure. From campouts and service projects to our annual ceremonies, these traditions are the heartbeat of our troop — a time to connect, grow, and create lasting memories.

Operation Christmas Child
Each year our troop participates in Operation Christmas Child, packing shoeboxes filled with gifts, school supplies, and personal care items for children in need around the world. It’s a hands-on way for our Trailmen to share Christ’s love and make a difference in the lives of others.
This year, our troop will be packing shoeboxes at their weekly meeting on Tuesday, November 11 at 6:30 pm.
Egg Drop Competition
Our annual Egg Drop Competition challenges Trailmen to put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test. Using everyday materials, they design and build protective contraptions to keep an egg safe when dropped from a height. It’s a fun mix of science, engineering, and laughter — with plenty of suspense at the moment of truth!

Trail Life Worthy Derby™
The Trail Life USA Worthy Derby™ is one of our most exciting annual events, where Trailmen design, build, and race their own wooden cars down the track.
It’s a test of creativity, craftsmanship, and a little bit of friendly competition. Beyond the race, the Derby is about fellowship, learning new skills, and celebrating the hard work that goes into every car. Every Trailman is a winner for bringing their creation to the starting line.
Trailmen's Cup
The Trailmen’s Cup is our annual yacht race where Trailmen build their own sailboats from official kits and race them using wind power. It’s a fun test of creativity, craftsmanship, and sportsmanship — with awards for speed, design, and participation.
